Theï»¿ footage you see here was taken with the same cameras that shot the show, but there’s two things going on here.. first there’s film degradation and no knowing how many times this version has been copied. The second is that footage selected for the final cut undergoes “color timing” in which the colors are balanced out within the shot and then made to match all the other footage taken during the show for color consistency. This was basically “junk” footage so nobody cared.

Back in the 60′s the guyï»¿ that plays the Admiral also pitched Allstate Insurance. The slogan was (and is..)”You’re in good hands… with Allstate.”… hence the joke with the Tribble.

It is from the episode titled ‘Patterns of Force’. I believe fromï»¿ the second season.
