There are a million of them. In “High Noon,” when Gary Cooper is alone in the street and the camera pulls back, you can see telephone poles in the very back of the studio lot (UncleBuc). Also, when Gary is running through the back streets of the town, you can see an air conditioner in a second story window. That ought to cool you down.

That’s kind of a hobby of mine. MASH was a very well written show, but they had some major mistakes when it came to the right time lines. They were famous for showing movies in the mess tent that didnt come out until the late 50′s. The Korean War ended in 1953. I used to write to the shows and let them know what the blooper was. They dont care. Hasnt stopped me.

a couple here and there. Usually props that weren’t invented at the time being portrayed.

Two come to mind. The first is an opening scene in the movie “Enola Gay” portraying two Japanese officers in a conversation in Hiroshima days before the A-bomb was dropped on that city. They are dressed in the uniforms of the Peoples Liberation Army of Communist China. A nation which didn’t exist until four years after the atomic bomb was dropped.
The second is a dialogue “goof” in the movie “Gone With The Wind”. Clark Gable (as Rhett Butler) is in a horse-drawn carriage with Vivien Leigh (as Scarlett O’Hara) driving furiously away from Atlanta as it is burning. Clark says: “We have to beat the bridge to the fire!”. Even though the movie has been digitally restored, the goof remains.

Oh cra* I can’t think of the series name but it was cops, Broderick Crawford was the tough rugged cop and he had a high speed chase and the bad guy goes off a cliff in a white car and a black car is seen tumbling end over end down the bank.
I thought I was a genius when I caught that about 45 yrs. ago.

Yeah. Before Bill Clinton got elected. I saw a news program at 3:00 in the morning say he made some Trade deals with some other countries, if they would help him get elected. They cut it off FAST!
LOL!

You stole my thunder. I was watching a western where the Indians were attacking a fort. In the sky I could see the contrails from a jet airliner. I mentioned this to my friends and we all went the next night to see it. To the best of my knowledge, I was the first to notice this one.
Another one that I did not see but thought was hilarious was in Spartacus, one of the gladiators was wearing a watch.

When JAG was on years ago, the US Marine who stood in the guard shack (which never existed) had his pants cuffs all bunched around his ankles. A REAL U.S. Marine would NEVER wear pants bunched like that (although I’ve seen some well dressed men now days wearing expensive suits with bunched cuffs…how lazy!). I wrote CBS TWICE. I did notice in subsequent re-runs that the U.S. Marine is only shown from about waist up.
Also, on the local news they were talking about the USS America (before they took it out into the Atlantic and sank it), and showed a film clip of an air craft carrier going by. The USS America’s hull number is CVA-66, the carrier in the news clip was CVN-68 (USS Nimitz…my last ship before retiring). I called WTKR news desk and pointed this out. The guy replayed the clip and agreed I was right. This was during the 5 p.m. news. On the 5:30 p.m. news, they showed the correct carrier. Things like that happen often here in S.E. Virginia, home of the largest U.S. Navy base on the east coast. They once had a picture of the 2nd Fleet Flag Ship (at the time the USS MOUNT WHITNEY LCC-20) but the article was about the USS BRISCOE DD-977. There was a story about aN FA-14 Tom Cat fighter jet with a picture of a P-3 Orion sub spotter. And on and on and on. Must be embarassing for the media in NAVY TOWN.

Yes. On Friends, in one scene, Phoebe Buffet has a tight red sweater on, when they switchback and forth, one button is undone on her chest , the next scene it is buttoned, they do that for a few scenes.

Saw a western movie that showed telephone lines (not telegraph) in the back ground.
