Mario fights a free-lancing toll-worker named Gus. He’s a tough one with his javelin, but is defeated by Mario. Mario and Goombella head off to Petal Meadows. The fastest path to the Meadows is pipe-travel (We’ll soon find out that Petalburg, a town in Petal Meadows, really needs a highway to pass near it, or a train station, or an airport.) They find a Blooper in the sewers; the Blooper is angry at Mario because he hit his tentacle with his hammer. The Blooper takes on Mario… The Blooper dies to Mario. After ariving to Petal Meadows, Goombella says something that will definitely ring true: A great adventure has begun.
